This page is a sample of the MABIMS API hilal visibility functionality. Pick a month and get two cards for the deciding evening: anarchipelago visibility map and the sky chartat the deciding observation point. The map marks the points that meet the criteria; the chart shows where to look. Map and chart are available for Hijri years 1444–1450; outside that range use theJSON endpoint.

Neo MABIMS criteria: moon altitude ≥ 3.0° (topocentric, refraction applied) and elongation ≥ 6.4° (geocentric) at each site's local sunset, checked at 25 coastal sites across Indonesia. If met anywhere, the moon is considered visible and 1 Muharram begins the next day.
